Atlanta.  Monday, January 12, at the North American International Auto Show, Robb Report presented Porsche Cars North America’s President and CEO, Detlev von Platen, with the 2015 Car of the Year award for the Porsche 918 Spyder. Captivating the judging panel with its state-of-the-art technologies, unparalleled performance, and plug-in hybrid efficiency, the 918 Spyder shone among the 13 competitors with the largest margin of victory ever recorded in the 22-year history of the award.  The 918 Spyder will be featured on the cover of the March issue of the luxury lifestyle magazine when it hits newsstands on February 24th.

“Winning Robb Report’s 2015 Car of the Year award emphasizes the 918 Spyder’s position as a ground-breaking technology leader and the pinnacle of Porsche’s strategy of performance-oriented plug-in hybrid vehicles,” said von Platen.  “The significance of this prestigious award is reinforced by the voting panel’s discerning judges.”

Porsche is also honored to have recently received the Playboy Car of the Year for the 2015 911 Carrera GTS, and the Cars.com Play Car of the Year for the 2015 Porsche 911.  The Porsche 911 was also awarded 2015 Most Popular on Edmunds.com, as was the Porsche Macan.
