November retail sales of 5,673 Porsche vehicles scored an all-time monthly record. So heralded Porsche importer and distributor Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) recently about last month’s sales, which surpassed the previous record high of 5,570 units set in April 2018.
Last month’s figures also exceeded November 2017’s numbers by 2.1 percent. Sales in the States during the 11-month period came in at 3.1 percent above the same period of last year (i.e., 51,507 vehicles), racking up 53,116 units this year.
Leading the way year-over-year in descending order were the Panamera, Macan, 911, 718 and Cayenne. For the first time this year, the brand’s iconic 911 deployed launch control to zoom past the 1,000-unit delivery mark during a one-month period — selling 1,056 units.
According to Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA, “Porsche is focused on providing what our customers want from a superb sports car, whether two-door or four-door. The November results confirm what we have seen all year – that the thrill of driving a Porsche of your choice resonates with existing customers and new fans.”
Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) November sales totaled 1,846 vehicles in the U.S too. This amounts to a respectable increase of 5.8 percent year-over-year.
